FALL-Now you see it. Now you don't!

After the horrible summer heat my morning glories finally had a chance to do their thang! They were beautiful! I peeked out this morning (with temps at 31 degrees) and they looked like they were melting.

I knew the freeze was coming so I picked everything that I knew would ruin.
Chop and freeze

Some of my winter squash.
First year to grow Buttercup and Hubbard squash.

Sharing this recipe for Jalapeno Jelly. It is not exactly the way I made mine but close.
It has been my new addiction!
RIP little Rhonda, my little Polish hen.
I named her after a not so pretty red haired girl I use to attend church with.

Autumn Bunderosa Beauty

Near the barn

Our acorn squash is HUGE! and yummy :)

Real pumpkin, fake pumpkins and some fall squash we grew in the garden make a pretty display.

The morning glories in their glory after a long hot summer!

Fall display at back door entrance.
This is an old wooden wheel barrow my sister gave me.

Bunderosa Queen booth at the local car show

My favorite was these little embellished pumpkins

My table of goodies

Feedsack pumpkins

Old suitcase full of fabric pumpkins and hanging hearts

Vintage jewel box full of fabric brooches.

Ellee wearing her new cowgirl hat.

the love birds (sheesh)

My Pastor and his wife sold (out of this world delicious) fried pies for our church.
Their booth was right next to mine.

Me in my little element. A car show is not the place to try to sell my kind of things. But it made for an interesting day. Especially watching the guy selling the smoked brisket sandwiches mix the meat with his bare, hairy (probably dirty) hands. Boy, the people lined up and scarfed those sandwiches down! If only they knew...
