It makes me crazy when...

I plan to do something and someone (usually my sweet hubby or one of my many adorable grown children) has made other plans for me.

I wanted to take my shocks of corn stalks and various other items to the Farmers Market in Podunkville tomorrow.

I just know that since we have been having cooler temperatures EVERYONE is wanting to start decorating their yards with "Fall-ish" things. Am I too early? Am I "jumping the gun". And what does that mean anyway?

I was going to take a bushel of mammoth sunflower heads to sell. They are jam-packed full of seeds!

I wanted to take a buckets of fresh cut sunflowers to sell too! They brighten any room and they just scream FALL!

But alas, I will be as busy as a bee tomorrow morning painting, painting, painting. The good thing is that our remodeling project is getting closer to being complete!

I still exist

I have been very busy lately. Getting very little accomplished but still, very busy. From having much company, to going to a nearly dead, double birthday party, while trying to get our bedroom and bathroom remodel wrapped up...I have not had to time to snap very many cool pictures out here on the Bunderosa or post some witty post.
Let's see, Skank Cat aka the Kitten Machine blessed our farm with 5 new kittens. They are so cute and I can hardly wait until they are weaned so I can get rid of them. This time she goes too! I know, I know I should have her fixed but she is probably already pregnant again anyway.
Sam the dog is still totally useless. I promise he can spot a moth at night and bark at it until the sun comes up only then to lay down in his little dirt bed and sleep all day.
We had to take the life of a very large black snake in the chicken house. I was noticing a shortage in the egg production a few days before. I know they say don't kill a "good" snake but we have the hens to provide eggs for us not Mr. Snake.
My grandsons came to see me yesterday (oh, and their mother, my daughter). Those little guys melt my heart!
Our bedroom and bathroom are getting very close to being finished. I am so excited!!

I couldn't help but notice all the dancing and swirling of these beautiful butterflies enjoying the butterfly weed yesterday. I quickly ran in the house and grabbed my camera for these great shots. It was worth standing in the heat to watch these beauties.

Embarking on a new adventure

As if being up to our eyeballs on remodeling our bedroom and master bathroom I am also in the big middle of home decor crafts. I hate to say crafts. It sounds like a "glue and popsicle sticks" word. Anyway, I make things. I paint things, sew things, grow things and dry them, "glue" things etc. etc. I'm sure you have noticed that I have a page that you can go to then click on the link. My remodel mess

The remodel mess is coming right along nicely. Hubby got the closet shelves up and hurriedly hung up our clothes that have been piled here and there. He will be making the shoe shelf sometime this week. This is crazy but I really would like to find a piece of leopard print carpet to go in there. I found some that I loooooove but $50 a yd is a bit pricey (he thinks). I think I am SO worth it. haha! Anyway, we bought the bathroom cabinets and counter top. Now I need to get the rest of the flooring. I am going with ceramic tile in the bathroom. Still looking for carpet for the bedroom. I hate to make decisions!

My Mammoth sunflowers that I planted beside the barn did not do well this year but the seeds I planted in the garden did pretty nice.
