A Weekend with my Sistas!

Oklahoma District Ladies Conference 2008 I loaned my dressform to Amanda's church booth to display their sign.
I got this idea from another blogger. Too cute!

This is their sign "Lucy Catoosy". (sorry that the picture is a bit blurry).
Tracey...a living doll!

Here I am with my crazy but adorable friend Vicki.
Two of the most gorgeous girls I know. My daughters!
My dear, fun, fashionable friend Tracey and myself.
Here I am with Angie and Vicki. I met Angie at Youth camp when I was 16.
She is an awesome singer.
Just got home from the 2008 Oklahoma District Ladies Convention! In a word...AWESOME!!! I was there with almost 1,000 of my dear "sista's in the Lord". The services were so wonderful and the speakers were so spiritually uplifting with a large dollop of humor! Donna Linville and Cindy Miller were mightily used of God to minister to all us Okie gals!
I enjoyed sharing a room with my long time friend Vicki. We stayed up way too late Friday night but surprisingly I was not tired the next morning. She is such a great listener and seems to help me laugh my silly troubles away. She is determined to have nothing but fun from now until Jesus comes! Sounds like a good idea to me!

Eastern Sky

I took this picture of the eastern sky early morning a few days ago. It reminds me of a beautiful song that I learned years ago when I first started serving the Lord.

Redemption Draweth Nigh

Years of time have come and gone
Since I first heard it told
How Jesus would come again some day
If back then it seemed so real
Then I just can’t help but feel
How much closer His coming is today

Signs of the times are everywhere
There’s a brand new feeling in the air
Keep your eyes upon the eastern sky
Lift up your head redemption draweth nigh

Wars and strife on every hand
And violence fills the land
Still some people doubt He’ll ever come again
But the Word of God is true
He’ll redeem His chosen few
Don’t lose hope soon Christ Jesus will descend

Signs of the times are everywhere
There’s a brand new feeling in the air
Keep your eyes upon the eastern sky
Lift up your head redemption draweth nigh
Lift up your head redemption draweth nigh

Getting our home ready for the Holidays

My table centerpiece surrounded by my small turkey collection

I like this but seems like it needs a few more smaller items.
Thinking... hmmmm?

Daddy, I'm sorry

I wish I could tell my daddy that I am sorry. I am sorry for the way the majority of the American voters dissed him and other American veterans by voting in an enemy of our country as our next president.
Our new president elect beds with the likes of those that hit the Twin Towers killing thousands on 9/11, and bombed the Pentagon. He sat under a minister for years that lashed out in profanities against our nation, and he does not support our military and is not a friend to the nation of Israel. What a slap in the face to all that have served and do serve in our military, be it US Army, US Navy, US Marines, our National Guards, Army Reserves, etc. etc... The majority of the voters chose a man that is anti-christian, approves same-sex marriages, believes in killing the unborn, partial birth, and still birth. He is against the right to bear arms and would have us unarmed and vulnerable to our enemies.
I wish I could tell my daddy one more time, thank you. Thank you for more than 20 years of service to help keep our nation free. I would hate to think that I would vote for the likes of Barak Hussein Obama after knowing what you and other service men and women have fought and gave their lives so we could live in this wonderful nation. God help us.

That's what I'm talkin' about! A sure sign that we are in God's country!
